Red Team Run to Victory!

Friday 19th May and the weather was just right for the first DCBA Sports Day. Rob Shields, PE coach, was the presenter for the day and really wound the teams up as he demanded they shout louder and louder in support of their team colour. Full Story

British Academy v Girne American University

The first game for the DCBA Primary football team took place on 15th March at GAU grounds. The DCBA team were sporting their new football kit and our roving reporter, Rob Shields, sent us this report. Full Story


British Academy V Alsançak Yeşilova Youth Team

The British Academy's first friendly 5-a-side soccer match against Alsançak Yeşilova Youth Team took place on the Academy's pitch at Alsancak on November 12th. Full Story


Athletics

Students from both Primary and Secondary Departments will represent The British Academy at the Athletics Competition due to take place at The Ataturk Stadium at Lefkoşa in April.

33 students have been chosen by our PE Department coach Rob Shields, to train for the competition. Training will take place at Girne Stadium from the end of October until the competition date in April (Competition date to be confirmed).  The students will be taking part in many events including 800/1000 metres, long jump and high jump, ball throwing and team relay races.

As soon as training starts we will take photos of our students in action, so watch this space for further updates.
